counselling
I offer 50 minute counselling sessions to individuals (16 years and older) and couples. I provide support and guidance for any of life’s challenges which may include relationship difficulties, mental health symptoms, addictions, grief and loss, or trauma. My practice is integrative and generalist, meaning that I do not have one specialty and I use skills and techniques from multiple modalities of therapy to best meet your needs. At this time, I am available for video call and phone call sessions.
Mental Health Assessments
Biopsychosocial mental health assessments can help provide a clearer picture of the mental health symptoms that an individual is dealing with as well as the factors that contribute to those symptoms. These assessments are often requested by doctors or employers. Some individuals will request an assessment when they have concerns about their mental health so they can provide their doctor with more information about what they are experiencing. As a Master of Social Work, I am able to gather this information and provide my professional opinion; however, I cannot diagnose or prescribe any medications.
Attachment style assessments
Early childhood experiences with caregivers can significantly impact the way an individual relates to others in romantic and platonic relationships. Learning about your attachment style can answer questions such as “why do I push people away” or “why do I struggle when I’m alone”, and it can also help direct future therapy sessions. Some couples find these assessments helpful to better understand each other when they feel like they are speaking different languages.
15 minute consultations
I offer free 15 minute consultations to give you an opportunity to tell me a little bit about your situation and ask me some questions to see if you think we would be a good fit for each other. A consultation can be by phone or video call, whichever is your preference.
